Eat The Rich, 2020
Offsite, Hastings

Original forming a longer quote by 18th century French philosopher Jean-Jacques Roussea on the cusp of the French revolution, eat the rich has been assimilated into punch contemporary vernacular and speaks to social issues such as wealth inequality and the immoral existence of billionaires.

Shot during the first UK lockdown, Eat The Rich, 2020 follows a female protagonist casually tending to ther garden. Featured in the background are the warped faces of nine of the richest billionaires living today such as Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates, whose faces have been digitally combined with horror movie characters such as IT, Beetlejuice and Freddy Kruger.

Eat The Rich, 2020 silently plays out like an allegory which the demonised faces of the global elite are decomposed and recycled back into the earth, offering our soil the nutrients to sow the seeds for a healthier future.
