Between Two Worlds presents an architectural intervention displaying a tailored formation of readymades to investigate the transitional phases of youth, rites of passage and the commodification of goodbyes. Central to the exhibition are a beloved collection of mass-produced cakes sourced from a series of multinational British supermarket chains. Reflecting on the liminal state between academic achievement and the impending journey of employment, this installation equates the symbolism of communal farewells to the economic forces shaping how we commemorate the present and anticipate the future.
